No News is Good News
For the first time in a while, this weekend I ate like a normal person. “Normal,” to me, meaning, not undereating, not overeating, not weighing apples, and not bingeing. So normal, in fact, that I don’t even have photos. I just ate and then moved on with my life.
The only news I have for you tonight can be summarized as follows:
I got an iPhone!
This is hugely exciting for me. I NEVER have the coolest new gadget. I have owned three cell phones in my life before this. My last phone, I was actually embarrassed to pull out at times. It was an old-school flip-phone that had a battery life of about an hour before I had to charge it. The night I got lost in San Francisco, running around Chinatown with no phone to figure out how to get home, we decided that I needed to upgrade.
I think I might be addicted to Kombucha.
I was nervous at first. I’ve heard reviews that it tastes like vinegar. For $3, I was not about to buy vinegar water, but after a little research, I decided to give it a try. These are the two flavors/brands I’ve tried so far, and I loved both of them. The Honest Kombucha (bottle shown re-filled with water), is very mild and refreshing tasting. It really just tastes like peach iced tea. The Synergy has a stronger flavor. I see the vinegar comparison, however, I prefer to think that it tastes more like guava wine
I love it when blog friends become real friends.
Last Thursday, I met Andrea for a birthday lunch. We’ve had so much fun working out, shopping, and yep, eating lately! She was kind enough to treat me to lunch AND a cupcake afterward
We split this delicious s’more cupcake.
See the graham cracker crust? It was truly decadent.
And the last news is: we have two winners for the Amazing Grass giveaway!

Congrats on the iPhone!
And I love Kombucha. I think Strawberry Serenity is my favorite so far.
Congrats on the iPhone! I’m in love with mine, I don’t think I can live without it. It never leaves my side. Hehe.. I’m a calorie-counter, used to have a small notepad as my food journal but the ‘Lose It!’ app was a lifesaver
No more pen & paper for me!
“I just ate and then moved on with my life.” – I love this! YAY for you!
OMG I love my iphone. I never had a cool gadget either. Guess when I decided to get mine? After getting lost in San Francisco! so funny
I see this Synergy drink all over the blogworld, I need to get my hands on some ASAP! I need one of those cupcakes too haha
Congrats on the cool phone! What apps are you installing?!
I always have the most old fashioned phone too but I’ve been thinking I’d like to get an iphone, all the brainwashing is effective! I need to do some reading up on it though…
That cupcake is adorable! Where’s Kara’s Cupcakes? So cute : )
I do love my iPhone! I really don’t know what I did without it before! That cupcake looks so good. I made smores cupcakes not too long ago, but I did the crumbs on top. I like the idea of a crust on the bottom. I will have to try that out.
what a lovely thought – eat just to eat, not worrying about photos, just enjoying the moment and moving on. i love it. and i love my iphone. and i love the fact you are a gadget virgin too, because so was i until my iphone. however, i love it and scarily can’t imagine my life without it
p.s. there was a lot of love in that comment
