Semi-Productive
I just tweeted “Short on time…to wash my hair or to post? That is the question.” The response was to post.
Dirty hair it is.
Yesterday was only semi-productive. I set out to brave the Social Security office and DMV to change my name (never did it when we got married since I was abroad), but I only got as far as the Social Security office before I realized we left our marriage certificate in England. Fail.
At least breakfast was good!
Kashi Go Lean Crunch with plain nonfat yogurt and half a banana
That yogurt is very good! So creamy, it is almost Greek-like.
Also semi-productive was my “workout.”

I’m not sure barely surviving the first half of Jillian Michaels’ “Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism,” should actually qualify as a workout.
I’m sure you could have predicted what I had planned for lunch!
I want to eat spaghetti squash everyday. It’s a true love affair that I daresay could one day rival many bloggers’ obsession with kabocha. I won’t name any names though.
Lunch dessert:
I snacked on an apple around 5 to hold me over until dinner. We went out to Chinese food with my dad. I repeated to myself beforehand, “I can do moderation. I can do moderation.” (For new readers, Chinese food is my favorite food on Earth, and I have a hard time not eating mountains of it when it is available!)
We started with won ton soup:
I believe I had three won tons and lots of broth. The freezing weather made it a perfect soup night!
For our main dishes we ordered lemon chicken (Matthew’s pick) and tofu and veggies in black bean sauce (my pick!). I basically had two plates like this:
The rest of this week is likely to be only semi-productive. Things are moving slowly with getting settled here, but I think things will start to come together next week as far as finding a place to live. This weather has been very limiting, and Matthew has had to work from home for most of this week!

I have such a hard time when it comes to Chinese, too. I feel like a bottomless pit.
I love won ton soup. I’m sure the workout went better than you thought it did. And you can totally do moderation…
I want to pick up a spaghetti squash this weekend at the market. You’ve reminded me that I haven’t had one since last winter!

Also, what does spaghetti squash taste like? What IS it? Do they have them in the UK? Did you spiralize it? I’m confused, lol.

I haven’t gotten much done this week, too busy shoveling.
Today probably won’t be very productive, either, as I need to catchup on my blog reading!
Spaghetti squash is on my list of things to try next. Thanks for reminding me. I love the Jillian M. Banish Fat Boost Metabolism workout but to really benefit I need that full hour or so to complete which I hardly have time for. I like the first 4 circuits only though.
That’s the DVD I ordered- do I need any special equipment or lots of space? I just realised it’s a US DVD so I’ll only be able to watch it on my laptop. So if there’s not enough room inside, I’ll go on the street

Though my blog would say otherwise. Ooops.
I only got about halfway through, but the part I saw did not require any equipment. It was a lot of squats/kickboxing stuff. Spacewise, you don’t need too much compared to many of the other videos I have used!
Let me know what you think of it when you get it. I’d be curious to hear what the other half is like

I’m horrid with Chinese food. I love it all. My husband makes fun of me sometimes by suggesting we eat Chinese and giggles when my eyes light up.
Very productive, yes – but all this schoolwork is killing me!

Chinese food is strange for me. I feel like I can eat a ton, but then feel disgusting afterwards.
props to you for braving the DMV and SS in one day.. I had to spread my visits out when I changed my name for my sanity. lol
I love Chinese but no matter how many fresh veggies and “healthy” options I choose I am always stuffed and feel like crud afterwards!
It sounds to me that you have been very productive… the DMV and social security offices in one day is very brave!

Productive? I think so, but I really can’t think of much that I have accomplished this week. So maybe not.
I’ve never had Nancy’s yogurt, but I always admire it in the story. I love the design on the label. Very girly and fun.

This week has been productive in that I’ve managed to work tons, get some studying in, do a little cleaning, work out and eat relatively well! Guess I can’t ask much more from life
I haven’t been super productive lately,but I am okay with that. Makes up for times when I an WAAAAY overproductive! Take it easy, and it will all fall into place!

Pretty productive. I managed to send some insurance papers I’ve been meaning to submit for like…6 months. I’m getting married to a Canadian, and taking his name…I’m already dreading all the documents i’ll have to change..

I think when I have the fear of eating too much, I eat less. Seriously, when I eat my healthy, fresh food, I shovel it down like nobody’s business. Haha.

I love squash of all kinds! This week I have been productive so far, but today is going to be a busy one. I have to hit up the gym, go to yearbook for school and then work until tonight all with no breaks! Boo!

The Chinese food looks awesome! We don’t have good Chinese food here in Seattle (well, at least the ones I’ve tried and from what I hear), and would love to try those tofu and veggies. I love black bean sauce!

I am with you on the spaghetti squash! I bought kobacha (sp?) once and thought it was disgusting.
I actually am going to be making a spaghetti squash lasagna for my lunch this week!
I often do the “to wash or not to wash” debate in my head (usually Sundays)and probably spending more time deciding than it would actually take to wash and dry it. However,they say it’s not good to wash it every day, so I use that as a justification.
I would say a fun dinner out for your favorite food is the most productive way to spend your time…
