  1. My husband is 10 years older than me – 36, and I get totally freaked out at that. You are not alone. :)

  2. My Tuesday truths? That the couch is actually a lot more comfortable than I thought and I don’t feel the LEAST bit guilt for spending the last 5 days on it.

Cute pics- this was a great post- good luck in the next couple of weeks!

  3. ellie says:

  4. katherine says:

YAY!! You’ll be back in the States in just 2 weeks!!

Tuesday truth: green tea is a sad substitution for cappuccino when I really need the kick of the coffee!

  5. VeggieGirl says:

    Wishing you LOADS of luck!!

My Tuesday truth = I regret registering for classes that last from 11am-3:15pm with no breaks whatsoever. Tuesdays are not fun around here.

  6. Elina says:

2 weeks?!!! Yay, GOOD LUCK! It may be stressful, but you ARE going to move, no matter what. :D
Can we see the full outfit, not just your butt? ;)

  7. Susan says:

Ahh! Two weeks! Good luck on getting everything together. Hopefully all the prep work you’ve been doing will pay off :)

Hahha, Chris takes the same photos of me too. Boys! My Tuesday Truth? I am honestly addicted to chewing gum. I’m all out at the moment and neeeeed something to chew!!!

  8. ~Jessica~ says:

I wish you all the luck in the world with your move ~ I envy you so much! I also covet your smoothie…looks more like a wonderfully thick milkshake :)

My Tuesday truth is that, though I’ve always suspected it, cats truly are the best therapy for a troubled soul.

    xoxo

  9. Paige (RAN) says:

Good luck! How exciting:) I’m sure everything will go smoothly.

And yes, have to agree that it’s not normal to get an invite for family gatherings with an rsvp. Hmm..

  10. Chrysta says:

Truth number 3 is right on! I gotta have my barney butter on a good piece of bread or crackers with my veggies!!Love it! Tuesday Truth? Dessert is a good thing to eat everyday!

  11. legalstyle says:

awwww i love that matthew snuck that picture. the boyfriend does that ALL the time to me. too funny.

  12. Jenny says:

Aw good luck with everything!! And sneaky picture, but cute skirt! :)

Tuesday truth: just because I get enough sleep at night does NOT mean I won’t nap when I get home from class everyday…

  13. Great idea with the truths. Good luck with the move back across the pond!

My tuesday truth? Just because I want to go to eight different things at once doesn’t mean I can.

  14. Aisha says:

I like the outfit and the picture, I think he honestly did that on purpose.
Good luck with all the packing!
My tuesday truth is that I want tuna! And that I am queen of procrasinating.

  15. Good luck with everything! Loved this fun post! :)

Tuesday truth: lots of work to get done before this quarter is over…

  16. lizzy says:

good luck with the move!! :) i liked this post a lot :)

  17. I’m so happy you’ll be moving closer! Maybe we could do a goodie swap someday. I am Trader Joe-less here in Colorado.

That butt-shot is exactly the sort of thing my husband would do, he still trails behind me & wolf-whistles anytime I go up a flight of stairs. It can be really embarrassing in public.

My Tuesday truth: I’ve realized that no matter how much greek yogurt hates my tummy I still can’t give it up…

    Have a great day!!

  18. Haleigh says:

When I moved from Sweden to the US last year, I was so stressed out but everything went pretty smoothly. We had to sell all of our Swedish furniture because it wasn’t worth the price to import it. The only thing I lost while moving across the Atlantic was my ipod which is quite unfortunate :( Good luck!!

  19. Good luck with your move.. I love this post!!!

My Tuesday Truth: I was secretly happy my students had a test today in clas so I could sit back and check blogs.. lol

  20. Georgia Reed says:

Good luck with the move!! It always works out.

My advice.. pay the extra money for that extra suitcase of things “You can live without”..

    I hate how much I’ve left behind… :(

    • Thinspired says:

Thanks, Georgia! That is actually a great tip. The moving company says it can take up to 12 WEEKS to get everything shipped, so I think extra luggae will be necessary!

  21. Lauren says:

Truth be told, I am freaking out of some life changing events going on right now too.

Do you ever feel like life is going by way to fast for you to get a handle on it? I hate that feeling, of not being in control of all aspects of my life. I guess that’s another truth I am revealing. I’m a bit of a control freak.

You will embrace everything because you are such a strong and amazing woman. During every frightening change that will take place, you will come out of it an even more unbelieveable person than you alreday are! ;)

    Have a great night Lara!

  22. Those invitations are so cute!

Truth Tuesday… I made a ton of fresh baby food and froze it… I was so tired when I got home from work I fed her the jar stuff :( at least is was organic ;)

  23. Loved this post Lara!!

First of all, your smoothie is the PERFECT SmoothieGirl consistency. Thick but not too thick- did you think it was TOO thick?

Butt shot- hilarious. Derek will love that! cute dress too! And it fits- isn’t that when you felt at your most comfortable that you wore that dress? why do we women remember these details?!!

That cake!!!! Did you make it?!??!?!

  24. april says:

    I’m so excited for you!

And I need bread and nut butter too. I always tell myself veggies and protein will be enough but it never is!

  25. Nice booty shot – totally something CD would do, and kudos to you for posting it. I would too if I had your butt. :)

Tuesday truths…let’s see. Just b/c I felt full from dinner doesn’t meant there wasn’t room for a little dessert. :)

  26. erika says:

Oh wow, two weeks? Good luck with that. And my Tuesday truth, my 6 year old daughter has more control over her core during yoga than I do. Ack!

  27. Felicia says:

Good luck with everything! You can do it.

I love that your family has invitations that you have to RSVP to – so cute! And my boyfriend does the awkward photo snapping too… Glad to know that I’m not the only one. Tuesday truth: If I don’t charge my iPod for over a week, it will probably die in the middle of a run to teach me a nice little lesson. Thank you, iPod. Lesson learned.

  28. I LOVE #3 :)

Tuesday truth: It is NOT socially acceptable to video chat with your sister in the middle of Starbucks…

  29. Bekah says:

Hahahaha you and your hubby are TOO funny.
And eating 4 pumpkin power cookies? Ok, you caught me. I almost never post about my desserts- because I know I’ll always eat a bite or two more than what is pictured. I just say “not worth blogging about!” Yeah… lame excuse. :/

    Happy Birthday to Matthew!!

  30. This: It is not normal to receive a formal invitation to your family’s holiday celebrations…and be expected to RSVP to the three-day spectacle.

Sounds like something my family would do AND it would make me highly nervous!
    good luck!!

  31. katie says:

amen..soup alone never fills me up!

  32. Oh wow, two weeks!! Crazy. Aren’t you so excited?! I bet.

The cake looks great :) I’d love a piece, please!

Truth for me: I CAN live off of soup! I love it, but I’ve got to add other things like meat and veggies. I wihs I had more Barney Butter, but it’s gone and I refuse to pay the 8 dollars per jar they cost at the store!! Ugh. I may give in here soon….

  33. lindsay says:

wow that smoothie looks great do you have a recipe you could post with how much of each item you used?

  34. Tina says:

You just reminded me how much I love fajitas! We used to do fajita bars at home…now I need to remind my mom to do that for me when I’m home! :)

  35. TWO WEEKS!! You must be so excited/overwhelmed!
My Tuesday Truth (even though it’s wednesday…)is that it is okay to eat a giant steak dinner and blow a lot of $$$ at a fancy restaurant if the occasion warrants it. There.

By the way, I think you could totally use WW flour in those pumpkin spice pancakes – I wanted to but I just didn’t have any on hand :(

  36. K says:

Haha! That butt shot is hilarious! That soup looks good but a girl’s gotta have her Barney Butter (which I haven’t had in ages, I need to reorder)!

YAY for 2 weeks!! Good luck with everything :)

  37. ahhaa love this post!! and love that shot of your cute skirt ;)

oh and soup can never be eaten alone, it always must be paired with some carbies and nut butter duhhhh

My truth: You cannot play Lady Gaga’s song Bad Romance on your computer during work without knowing the volume was on HIGH (when it usually is on very low)

  38. Michelle says:

Hhaha I was totally cracking up over the gelatinous pumpkin smoothie…now THAT is pretty interesting! I’ve never tried it, but I can see why it gets gelatinous and it’s good to know. I also LOVE the fact that your family sends out such adorable holiday invitations. I don’t think it’s too strange to get a formal invitation!! Especially since you’re sooo far away. I’m sure you got an invitation directly from the fam too so the formal invitation is simply an extra touch and reminder that they love and miss you. Hehe
Aren’t you excited to be coming back to the US??? No more formal invitations!

  39. Biz says:

My husband will be 50 next year! That’s scary, but I am 8 years younger :D

Busy time for you – wish I could be there to help you pack!

  40. julie says:

2 WEEEEEEKS!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhh SO close :) you’re more ready then you think girl! don’t stress just sit back and enjoy that deliiiicious looking green monster!

  41. Packing is one of the worst things ever! We’ve moved more than I care to think about. Last time we packed ourselves, and that was no small feat with 6 kids & their stuff!

    You can do it!

  42. Gena says:

Tuesday truths: I get very sad when I can’t cook for seven days straight :-(

  43. elise says:

    two weeks!!!!!!!!! crazy talk!

whats with the elaborate holiday invites?? are you secretly an upper east sider?
